Community Detection in Multiplex Networks

A multiplex network models different modes of interaction among same-type entities. In this article, we provide a taxonomy community detection algorithms in networks. We characterize the based on various properties and discuss type communities detected by each method. then an extensive experimental evaluation reviewed methods to answer three main questions: what extent evaluated are able detect ground-truth communities, produce similar structures, scalable. One goal survey is help scholars practitioners choose right for data task at hand, while also emphasizing when such choice problematic.
